Day 13 - February 13, 2011

Day 13 - Running out of things to take pictures around the house.  I have seen water pictures in lots of peoples blogs so I decided to try it.  Problem is my sink and faucet are really the best for it.  Here is what I got!

This one I think is decent in my mind.  I really like it B&W.

This one is so - so.  I definitely like the first one better.  The grainy edit makes me like it a little more for some reason! :)

Not a very good one but in honor of Valentine's Day!



Day 12 - February 12, 2011

Day 12 - I got a couple pictures in Lorimor.  Very small town that looks like it used to have at least a little boom to it.  Not so much anymore.

This won't happen soon but north of Lorimor is Madison County.  As in Bridges of Madison County.  We have some really warm weather for the month setting in (possibly 60 degrees in Feb! with quite a few inches of snow on the ground.  They are 6 covered bridges plus other historical sites but most of them are on gravel roads so I am going to wait until it dries up a bit!  Can't wait! :)

Day 7, 8 and 9 - February 9, 2011

I have been a slacker this week so I stopped by a local park after work and took 4 good photos for day 7, 8 and 9.  These are my black and white park photos.  (I am throwing in the park sign in color because I like it a little better that way!)

Day 6 - February 6, 2011

Day 6.  It was snowing today so I took a picture of it snowing against our pine tree in the front yard. 

Day 5 - February 5, 2011

So if I don't make it outside to get any good shots of something other then my animals I will always revert back to my animals.  Here is a shot of Skunk giving her Skunk Eye and then also a picture of Oz Dog with his mask on so he can get his beauty sleep.

Day 4, February 4, 2011

Day 4 I was able to get a couple good shots when we had to go pick my BIL's girlfriend up after her car broke down.  Taking these pictures were a little weird.  We had hopped off the interstate to turn around and I saw a couple of windmills I wanted to capture with the sky.  As I hop out of the car I look over to the left and there is a young boy, probably in his low teens, standing behind a tree with a large BB gun.  He just stared at me the whole time I shot and then we left.  It was a very off experience but I got a couple of good shots! :)

Day 3 - February 3, 2011

Day 3 was a bit hard.  I worked around a 12 hour day so I didn't have much time to take pictures.  The picture below was taken from the window of my car at a rest stop on the interstate.  The sky was gorgeous!

I took a picture of the capital building that night as well.  I am learning how to use all of the functions and one of my huge goals is to get great night pictures of not only the capital but the downtown skyline.  I thought I would add this picture so I can see how I progress with the settings.



Day 2 - February 2, 2011

Day 2 (Part 1) - My beautiful baby Bella again.  I love her!

Day 2 (Part 2) - My handsome Ozzie.  He's such a stud.

We all played in the snow today.  Bella LOVES the snow and Ozzie hates it!  They are so different from each other.  I wish Scott would have been home to get some good snow falling pictures with them in the sun but oh well!  Thank you 8" of snow for an awesome day off and also some great snow pictures!

This next year is going to be very crazy for us so it will be great to see the year progress! I try and take my camera with me everyday but a lot of times I don't actually take it out and use it.  The first few months are going to be tough for me with it still being winter but I'm going to do it.  I can't guarantee I will post it every day but I will take one every day and post later.  Wish me luck!
