Country Christmas Pictures

So on the way home this year I stopped at the wind farm and took a couple pictures.  The sun was so bright so it was hard to do a lot of what I wanted to try (messing with shutter speed, etc.)  Plus it was cold, we were on a hill and it was crazy windy so I didn't leave the car.  Here are a couple I took.

As I got closer to home the sun was setting.  Outside of Hepburn is a house that is in the process of being town down.  The way the sun was hitting it was incredible.  So again from the car, I had to grab a couple more pictures.  The 2 color pictures have had zero color change to them.  The sun was so warm and bright shinning on the house and barn.

 Last of my outdoor pictures this last weekend were on Christmas Eve morning.  Not to far from the house/barn above it a driveway that leads to a tree and a grain bin.  I tried to get out early enough to get the sun rise but was too slow and missed it.  I was able to still capture some shots.

The last is my favorite shot of the morning.  The way the sun hit the tree and the fields was just so pretty and peaceful.

So I attempted to do this.  I know neither of them are perfect but I didn't have the summer one when I took then winter one.

I was home over the weekend and it had snowed.  I took some more shots and while not overly pleased with them I think I got a couple good ones!

First Post in Almost a Year!!

So it has been a while since I have actually taken pictures.  I got pregnant in January and kind of hung up the camera when the fatigue and morning sickness kicked in.  During my pregnancy I became a member of a fantastic group of ladies called the September Sweet Peas.  Our children were born and we still chat online.  Subgroups grew from our main group and one of those groups is Sweet pea Shutterbugs!  This group has been amazing.  Each day of the week is a different topic.  Mondays are Mama Mondays where we take a picture of ourselves, Tuesdays are Technical Tuesdays where we learn something new, Wednesdays are Composition Wednesdays, Thursdays are Theme Thursdays (they change every week), Fridays are Fickle Fridays and Saturday are Snapshot Saturdays where we can only take pictures with our phones.  Sundays we rest or work on our theme photo!  We have been doing this for 2 weeks now and I have learned quite a bit. Here are my shots so far!

Day 13 - February 13, 2011

Day 13 - Running out of things to take pictures around the house.  I have seen water pictures in lots of peoples blogs so I decided to try it.  Problem is my sink and faucet are really the best for it.  Here is what I got!

This one I think is decent in my mind.  I really like it B&W.

This one is so - so.  I definitely like the first one better.  The grainy edit makes me like it a little more for some reason! :)

Not a very good one but in honor of Valentine's Day!
